MARKET: CIVIC
This project was realized through winning a national design competition for the United States federal courthouse annex built to support the 8th District Circuit Court of Appeals, Federal Bankruptcy Court, United States Attorney's office, and U.S. Probation and Parole office. The design reinforced the City Beautiful masterplan of 1902 on the historic Des Moines riverfront. This traditionally scaled government building utilized limestone and concrete. Glass curtain wall systems open the building up to the scenic riverfront views.
